Hello! I am Zaki

I am Zaki Syamsul Ghifari, but people usually call me Zaki. I am 3rd-year student in English Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). This year I've been chosen to take part in the SEA Teacher or Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange Program Batch 5 in 2026, held by SEAMEO as an inbound student teacher at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, also I teaching English at the Senior High School of University of Tsukuba at Sakado (Tsukusaka Senior Highschool).

I have dreamed of going abroad since my early days in college. I initially aimed to participate in the IISMA program organized by the Indonesian government, but unfortunately, it is currently unavailable. Then, the SEA-Teacher program came along, offering me a unique experience and the perfect opportunity to implement the knowledge I have gained throughout my studies.

Through this program, I encountered many new things I had never experienced before. I observed the differences between people in Japan and Indonesia, the disciplined lifestyle, the public transportation systems like the trains, and the unique Japanese food and culture. Most importantly, however, I gained valuable insights into the differences between the educational systems in Japan and Indonesia. This is an unforgettable milestone in my educational journey, and I hope that this experience will improve my teaching skills, shaping me into a better educator in the future.
