About SEA-Teacher Program

The SEA Teacher Project, or Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia, is an initiative facilitated by SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization). This program was initiated with the aim of providing students with the experience of studying and implementing education abroad, as well as enhancing the pedagogical skills, English proficiency, and cross-cultural understanding of pre-service teachers in the Southeast Asian region.

As an institution committed to global education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) actively participates in this SEAMEO program by establishing strategic partnerships through student exchanges. Within the Southeast Asian region, this collaboration is closely forged with institutions such as Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in the Philippines and Khon Kaen University in Thailand. Furthermore, the reach of this mobility program has been expanded to East Asia through a partnership with Tsukuba University in Japan. This global network provides a platform for pre-service teachers to observe, adapt, and directly practice teaching methods across various international education systems.
