Last Day and Bye-Bye Japan

Today was my very last day in Japan. I cleaned up my room, packed my luggage, cleared out the food in the fridge, and made sure to tidy up everything we had used during our stay in the dormitory. Once everything was packed, we were asked to go to the school for a closing ceremony and to say our final goodbyes to the teachers there. Since my flight was scheduled to depart around 9:00 AM, making it impossible to travel all the way from Sakado the next morning, a hotel near the airport was booked for Nabil and me. Then Tatemoto-sensei accompanied us to the bus terminal. We said goodbye to the principal of Tsukusaka Senior High School before heading out. When we arrived at the terminal, we waited and had a conversation with Tatemoto-sensei. After a while, our bus finally arrived. We bid our final farewells to him and expressed our deepest gratitude for all his grateful help during our time in Sakado.
The bus departed from Sakado toward Narita Airport, a journey that took about two and a half hours. I can't lie, a wave of sadness washed over me that day. We realized that this marked the true end of our SEA-Teacher program and our last day in Japan. After passing through various toll roads and taking in the last glimpses of the Japanese views, we finally arrived at Narita Airport. From there, we walked a bit to the bus stop to catch a shuttle to our hotel. The ride only took about 10 minutes. Once we arrived, we checked in and took a short rest.

After we took a rest, driven by a spontaneous urge and curiosity to see the Shibuya Crossing, as well as a desire to buy some action figures in Akihabara, we decided to head out again. Around 4:00 PM, we made our way to the airport train station and traveled to Akihabara first to do some shopping. Once there, we bought the figures we wanted and snapped some photos before heading to Shibuya. When we finally reached the famous Shibuya Crossing, we took more photos and even recorded a vlog. Since it was getting late, around 9:00 PM, we decided it was time to head back to the hotel to ensure we wouldn't miss our flights the next morning. We took the train back and ended up falling asleep during the ride. We arrived at the hotel, packed our final things, took a bath and slept. In the morning we woke up late.
Because we were taking different flights, Nabil and I said goodbye in the hotel and I’m going first with a rush. I made my way to the airport. I felt a bit lost at first, but thankfully, the staff there helped me find my way. My flight soon started boarding. I got on the plane, took my seat, and looked out the window. I couldn't hold back the sadness anymore, and I silently hoped that one day I would set foot in Japan again. The plane took off for Hong Kong, where I had a transfer for a few hours, before finally flying back to my home country, Indonesia. I had a few tears of joy, realizing I had finally traveled abroad, especially to Japan, my dream country for so long. I truly hope I can return there someday when another opportunity arises.
