From Tsukuba to Sakado. UTSS, The Dormitory, and the Warmth of the Snow

The day finally arrived for us to leave the University of Tsukuba Global Guest House. We had gathered so many new and unique experiences here, and now it was time to move to Sakado, specifically to UTSS (University of Tsukuba Senior High School at Sakado). Our journey took about two and a half hours. Along the way, we enjoyed the highway scenery before eventually dozing off. Finally, we arrived at the Sakado Dormitory.
When we arrive, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Tatemoto, Ms. Regina, Ms. Bagot, and several UTSS students. UTSS, or Tsukusaka Senior High School as they often call it, is where we would begin our teaching activities. After welcoming us, we unpacked our stuff and settled into our rooms. After that, we were invited to lunch while discussing our upcoming activities at Tsukusaka and going over some rules we needed to follow.
After our discussion, we were taken to a mall called Wakaba Walk, located near Wakaba Station. We bought some groceries there, because our dormitory has a kitchen. Once we finished grocery shopping, we headed back to the dorm. When we got back, Ms. Regina and Ms. Bagot headed home. We took some time to rest while cooking dinner. At the same time, we set up a schedule for cooking rice and cleaning the kitchen with the other SEA-Teacher participants. Oh, by the way, today was also the day the students from Thailand arrived in Japan. We continued chatting while enjoying our dinner. While we were relaxing, we suddenly heard the sound of precipitation hitting the roof, so we went outside to check. It turned out to be snowing! It was my very first time seeing snow, so I immediately rushed outside to capture the snowy night atmosphere. After we finished dinner and wrapped up our activities, we decided to call it a night and went to sleep in our respective rooms.
The next morning, I woke up, looked outside, and saw that all the buildings were covered in snow. The snowfall had been going on continuously since last night. I took some photos to capture the moment, enjoyed a little snowball fight, and then spent the rest of the day relaxing. Since it was Sunday, I didn't have any scheduled activities, so I focused entirely on creating my lesson plans for the upcoming week's teaching activities.
